Equal Pay for Equal Play

Equal Pay for Equal Play is a campaign for gender equality in sport founded by professional surfer Lucy Small and sports journalist Kate Allman. The campaign calls for smart government policies to drive change across our sports industries - making them more equal and inclusive.

In 2023 we successfully secured reforms in NSW that now require sporting peak bodies to show they have equal prize money and gender equal board representation in order to receive funding under its Organisation Support Program scheme. While this was a small but important step, it goes nowhere near far enough.

That’s why we have now turned out focus to establishing a federal framework for equal prize money, equal access to facilities and equal support.
